Amit Shah on cooperative taxi platform:

The Government of India is planning to launch its own taxi service platform soon. This platform will be similar to the private services offered by Ola and Uber. Union Home Minister Amit Shah made this announcement during his speech in the Lok Sabha, Shah aims to provide an alternative and possibly more affordable option for people using taxi services. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to provide better and more accessible transport options to the public.

  • Union Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah announced in Parliament that (Sahakar Taxi) will register two-wheeler taxis, auto-rickshaws and four-wheeler taxis across India. This will be a big step which will give a new direction to the transport sector. Along with this, Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ are not just words, but the Ministry of Cooperation has worked very hard and continuously in the last three and a half years to make it a reality. He also informed that Sahakar Taxi service will start soon, which will increase transport facilities even more and people will get cheap and accessible service.

Drivers will benefit

Benefits for drivers :This service will be different from private companies. Its objective is that all the earnings reach the drivers directly. This will give more financial benefits to the drivers. The Union Cooperation Minister told that this service will not benefit any big industrialist, but the drivers who drive the vehicles. This system will increase the income of drivers and their financial condition will improve. Drivers will get proper compensation for their hard work, so that they can take better care of their families.

It is important to understand that in future, government taxi services will give tough competition to big companies like Ola and Uber. Thus, competition in the field of taxi services is likely to increase further in the future.
